I like this girl and I've liked her for 2 years, late August I had enough courage to ask her for her number, she just giggled and ran back to class. It's homecoming dance soon, she doesn't have a date and neither do I. I still like her and I would like to date her but now I don't know what to do. Please give me some advice.

She is really beautiful and a lot of people say that shes out of my league. But when she giggled she said oh my god ran back to class and told one of her friends who then went with her downstairs watching me but I avoided her by using a staircase on the other side of the building, We hardly talk now, but she's always laughing at my jokes and everything.

If she giggled and ran away, I'd take that as a good sign. Does she make eye contact with you or does she avoid you at all costs? Wait for her after class and ask her if you can walk her to her next class. If she says yes, you know she likes you. Do that for a couple of days before you ask her for her #. Then, ask her to the dance. That way, it's more like you've been spanning some time together, not just cold turkey, ya know what I mean?

Yeah, girls don't realize just how immasculating a simple misplaced giggle can be after a guy finally gets up the courage to ask for a phone number or a date.
Here's a couple of thoughts.
1) You may have caught her off guard approaching her for her number, it was probably as aukward a moment for her as it was for you. She may be feeling some regrets over her initial reaction, & is wishing she could do it over again.
2) You only asked her for her number last time. Try again, & be more specific. This time directly ask her to the homecomming dance, & she'll better understand your intentions.

Probably ask her out or slip her a note. You could try giving her your number, but then you leave the ball in her court to have to call you up.
If she's the type who giggles and runs away, then probably she's not the type who'll want to call you out of embarrassment. You may want to find an opportunity to catch her alone and ask her out.
If she's got friends around her, that could make it complicated since girlfriends always like to share things and know who's taking whom to a dance.
If she likes you, then you should just bite the bullet and ask. However, don't do it in a public place where you can get shot down and rejected. Find a secluded area or when she's in a hallway or not around any of her friends.
If her friends are around here, there's a lot of pressure on her. The most important thing is to get her alone.
I was going to ask Zelda to the dance, but that damn Ganon whooshed her away. Don't be me like me and have a Ganon steal your Zelda so you don't have a date to the dance.

You should call her and talk. Listen to how she talks to you. Then ask her to the dance if you get the right vibe. Why not ask her? Then you will have made an attempt to go out with her. If she says no, then ask her if she would like to get together after school sometime. If she says no to that, then you pretty well no that she is not interested. Don't worry about being let down. If it bothers you this much, then you have nothing to lose. Go for it!! :) Good luck.

definitely ask her out! This guy I had known for a while one night he took me home from work and as he opened the car door for me he kissed me on the cheek. I was so stunned I didn't know what to do or say. So I ran into my house. I was really excited but also scared. The next day he treated me like I didn't exist I didn't understand what his problem was so follow up and ask her out!
