How much does it cost to start you're own clothing line??

I'm doing this project and i need to know how much it cost to start my own clothing line.. something like Bebe or Juicy couture. Thanks

I have a very small clothing line of baby clothes but because they are all handknit and I do all the work, my start up costs are very minimal. If I was to go big with my work I would have to go outside the country to find knitters that would work cheap enough to make a profit and that isn't why I do what I do.

I am working on a line of formal (prom/wedding dresses) but it's still on the drawing board and will stay small because I want to keep control and not make it into a sweat shop business.

Normally if you want to start a clothing line and make a really good go of it, you might need maybe $750K - $1mil.

However that's mainly to trademark and hire factories etc... most large clothing lines started by people buying blank tshirts, designing the logos oin their computers or drawing/painting the pics/logos and then taking it to a tshirt stamping shop, then selling them to friends etc.
