Traditionally they're a defensive team which is what I like about them. They're my favorite team as well. However, they never had an offensive nominated NFL MVP, the best they've ever had was Terry Bradshaw and Franco Harris. As far as scoring goes. Never in history have they had a quarterback who could throw like at least 35 touchdowns in a season, or a running back with 1,500 yards rushing with 14 touchdowns. I know that draft time they always look for the defensive guys in the NFL drafts but will they ever look for a top offensive threat in the draft? Plus, Pittsburgh Steelers have never gotten a high pick in the NFL draft which I think sucks! That's another reason why they never get the offensive guys because they're taken already by the time the Steelers get to select someone. They usually pick each year around selection number 24 out of like 29 NFL teams each year. I wish Pittsburgh Steelers would get Adrian Peterson or Ted Ginn in the years to come. They're awful on Madden too!

First of all, Big Ben was the best quarterback to come out of his draft. He can throw, run, and bulldoze. He heals quickly from injury. He is a great leader, and he has learned the Steelers' offense VERY quickly, even with all the trick plays. Hines Ward is one of the best receivers in the league not for receiving yards or TD's, but for being the total package. That guy LOVES to throw a good block or tackle someone when there's an interception. Willie Parker broke the 1,000 yard mark last year I believe. And besides, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The Steelers have been running the ball down people's throats and their defense has been dominating opponents for 30 years. Why change that? Unless they lose 10 games in one season, they will not have a high draft pick, so forget about that one, unless they get a high pick for a trade. You seem to want points more than Championships. Haven't you ever heard the phrase, "Offense makes the highlight reel, defense wins Championships,"?

Barry Foster rushed for 1600 yards, but I do agree with you. They don't have a high powered offence. Terry Bradshaw was the no. 1 pick in the draft but that was before the Steelers became the Steelers. They pick late because they are so good and don't lose often. They are a victim of their defencive success.

Tell them to have a few losing seasons like the Brownies and then they can pick a lot higher in the draft.

Only when the other team has no defense. They're usually not very exciting, but what they do works for them.(except tonight)
