The stuff that changes is not usually noticeable to others. You get little hairs on your chin that you have to pluck out. Your skin get really DRY and you have acne at the same time. Unfair, huh? Can't moisturize because you'll get zits, can't use acne medicine because it drys out your skin too much. What to do?
Changes are so gradual that you don't even know it's happening until you notice that your skin is a lot dryer than it used to be.
You also might find yourself crying at dog food commercials or something stupid like that. Hormones are a real pain. Night sweats are a pain too.
Hormone replacements are OK for some and not for others. That is something that you and your doctor will have to discuss. There are no magic pills to keep you young.
Your best bet is to stay out of the sun and don't smoke. Both cause wrinkles.

My Mum had a terrible time. All the hot flashes etc. It was made worse by the fact that a doctor misdiagnosed her with menopause and put her on hormone replacement 10 years before she actually went through it. Moody as hell when it happened though. What she took out on the family wasn't even half of the emotional roller coaster she was riding on the inside though. The very best indicator of symptoms you might experience and what age you can expect it is to speak to your mother as there is usually little difference from generation to generation.

hormone replacement therapy is what it says i don't know if it keeps you girlish or not i'm a girl and i'm not on hrt and i have noticed any changes like that. the hot flasshes can be uncomforable they are visable to you you'll notice your peeriods will become father apart until you don't have them. mine came closer together then started to get father and father apart until they quit you may have mood swings. each person is different
i would discuss the pros and cons of hrt with your doctor.
