Because we're confident and self assured without having to prove anything.
In other words our age allows us to be natural.

Could be because women who are mature no longer where what fashion dictates but wear what makes them look best.
Could be because life is a lot easier for today's women. It wasn't that long ago that our mothers/grandmothers had no such thing as a clothes dryer and hung clothes on clothes lines in Winter. Previous generations didn't have the easy food preparation today's women do, so they worked harded just to make breakfast and dinner (lunch has probably never been a big deal for anyone).
Could be because, in spite of what cosmetics companies and people involved in cosmetic procedures would have us believe, it is entirely possible for a woman (particularly one who hasn't allowed the sun to damage her skin) to get to be 50 without having any fine lines or crow's feet or "tissue paper" neck. When fine lines don't show up until someone is 50 it takes another few years before they're a noticeable "issue".
Could be because women exercise and are more aware of better eating habits.
Could be because our mothers and grandmothers would have looked a lot younger and more attractive longer if they hadn't been so self-sacrificing and hadn't been expected to "go gently into that good night" at, say, 38 years old. Make-up isn't just for movie stars any more.
Could be because as you get closer to 40 you can see it more for the not-so-old it really is or as you pass 40 is starts looking even younger.
Could be because over recent times people have come to realize that being an example for our daughters means showing that taking care of ourselves and being "alive" for as long as we can is a better way for women to live.
It could be that many women look younger for their age than you'd think they would. If you figure that a woman in her 40's doesn't necessarily have signs of aging, then you're only dealing with the early-50's women who look "hot" - and they may be the ones who look ten years younger than they are, or else they're people who look good in spite of some minor fine lines.
If you consider that maybe people are supposed to live until they're 100 (more and more are these days), then it would make sense to have 50 years of youth or sort-of-youth and then 50 years of sort-of-aging and then aging. 50 may be exactly "middle age".

It comes with wisdom and maturity.
The schoolgirl dreams of knight's in shining armour has often been replaced by stark reality as so many of us guys fail miserably to live up to hopes and expectations.
Too many Princes turn into frogs and as the veil of illusion lifts many women begin to see the world in a clearer light.
When they are younger they wonder what they're doing wrong but as they get older they realise that it's very rarely them at fault.
They learn how to step more confidently through the minefield that is the suppressed and regressed emotions of so many men.
Hey I could write a book on the subject, but only women would read it, proving my point.

Oh,thanks for the compliment honey! We are seen as such because we are done with playing games and know what we want out of life. We're just all about keeping it real in whatever situation we're in.Not only that but are financially and mentally stable. There's some twenties who have the same traits so they should be on top once they reach their 30's.And acourse,we are more sexually seasoned, not to mention that we are at our sexual prime. Now how hot is that?

Because they have wisdom and that means they can teach us things. They've figured out what really matters to them and don't waste time on the little things. They have the confidence to be who they really are. Great people to have around!
Mind you, to be fair, I think you can sometimes see signs of the above at a relatively young age and, obviously, "maturity" can happen at any age!

well thats a matter of perspective, though personally i think older women are attractive hands down. I think it could possibly be that we somehow see our Mother in them, especially if we admire our Mother's that is. It may even be because we may think of them as being a little more mature compared to younger women.

Because by those ages they're smart, polite, have their own money and make the effort.
16 - 24 still live in a Walt Disney fantasy world.
25 - 29 Thinks the world owes them a favour and blames males for not getting it.
30 + Finally becomes realistic and realise that they're NOT going to marry a famous Rock-Star or Millionaire.

Because we've finally come to like ourselves and our life. We finally can do the things WE want to do without having to explain why or even ask if we can do it. We are comfortable with our bodies and can use them well now.'
