Where are the moderates, indeed? Excellent question! We are fighting against the radical fundamentalist [terrorist] factions of Islam in Afghanistan and Iraq. We have successfully prevented further attacks on US soil for over 5 years. Are we doing enough? Only history will tell the tale. Could we have stopped the Nazis. I believe we could have and should have. We had our heads in the sand. Shame on us and the rest of the world for allowing the Holocaust to happen. The war on terror must go forward. As President Bush says, "We must stay the course."

You can blame the media for failing to show "the other side of the coin". Many Muslims condemn acts of terror. You forget...there are over 1.5 billion muslims worldwide, and growing in number every day. You forget the number of Muslim countries and that we seldom hear any "news" coming from those countries in the first place.
And I'm sorry but I am an American and I never thought Muslims were "just peace-loving family folks JUST LIKE US. What? "JUST LIKE US"? We aren't all THAT "peaceloving" -----
and please. we are all aware of the Nazis killing the Jews. We are aware --- ad nauseum.
But I say that to underscore the fact that there have been many many acts of terror, genocide, murder, killings, maimings, torture, etc. throughout history. There was even an African Holocaust (well over 15 million) (under a different definition of course), and what about the Mass Graves of Ireland?(over 6,000,000)(their being the result of the British and under a different definition of course)and the American Indian Holocaust (actual figures unknown but at least 5,000,000)(under a different definition of course)and on and on and on.
And so you see my problem is that so many moderate peaceloving people helped the British kill millions of Irish, and so many moderate peaceloving Americans helped still other Americans kill millions of indians, and so many moderate peaceloving Americans helped still other Americans kill millions of Africans, and that these "silent" moderate peaceloving Americans were scared also; so scared that they too became puppets...and have remained puppets to this day.
and with 20/20 hindsight, how could we have stopped the British, and the Americans...

I believe there are peaceful Muslims. But the ones who incite violence for their own selfish reasons seem to be calling most of the shots. Iraq is a perfect example, try as they might to form a government and bring peace, there are those screwing it up everyday. There needs to be some secretive espionage done by the good Muslims to ferret out the trash within their society. We cannot assimilate into their world and do that, it must be done from within. And a side note..women who raise their children to suicide bombers are not mothers, they are animals who go against nature.

where are they when 911 happened? dancing in the street..lol
Seriously, thats the thing i cant understand they protest against the Danish Cartoons and yet they cannot protest those terrorist who say Allah is great after killing people / suicide bombings which i think is most disrespectful to Allah.
I dont know maybe they are also scared to speak up because in muslim world shut up or die.
So therefore if your scared of your life to speak up then your not at peace at all, so hows the religion of muslim teaches peace when you cannot have peace within your self?

Even if they did, no one would hear about it. There have been several demonstrations, one right in Washington DC a few weeks back in front of the White House... Was never on TV. I only know about it because that is where I live!
There has been many different Islamic organizations all over the world who have condemned terrorists and terrorist actions. They may get a 2 second spot on our conservative owned television channels which have an agenda of their own... KEEP YOU AFRAID AND FULL OF HATE. Working isn't it! They are doing a wonderful job at keeping people in the dark about what the real Muslim world thinks about terrorism.
Did you know that the individual that turned in the terrorists in London was MUSLIM? A potential tragedy stopped by the people so many of you love to hate.

Where are they? Maybe some of them are your neighbors, and you don't notice?
Did you protest, when G. W. Bush invaded Iraq, when he started to keep prisoners of war in Guantanamo, not allowing them the rights that prisoners of war must be given? What was your reaction when you heard about the tortures in Abu Ghreib?
Yes, the Germans were scared about the terrorist Nazi regime. But in the USA the peaceful Muslims have a reason to be afraid: for the Bush government and for many "peaceful" Americans it seems almost to be a crime to be a Muslim. (I am christian, but I can understand the Muslim.) Those who raise their voices against violence are unheard by TV or newspapers. That's why people like you get prejudiced.

Its funny that if a Muslim kills a poor nun in Somalia all "moderate" muslims must denounce it and take responsibility for it.
Its unbelievable that when a Muslim attacks a church in Gaza all Muslims must take the blame for this atrocity.
Its amazing that when some extremists, claiming to be Muslims commit a murder in Iraq all Muslims of character must defend themselves as if they commited the crime.
When 1.4 million women are raped every year, when 4 million innocent people are attacked and beaten each year, when 600,000 innocent people are put to death every year where are your apologies, where is your condemnation, when will you take responsibility for the crimes "you" are committing. After all, these statistics that I just listed are not from a Muslim country, these are all American statistics. After all, these are Americans who were raised in American homes by your and my parents. Were'nt they taught to kill, rape and murder from childhood? Why should I take the reasonable and logical route on this only and blame the criminals only for the crimes they commit, but when it comes to Muslims, take the ignorant route and blame 1.3 billion Muslims living in 200 countries for the crimes of criminals. Why should'nt I demand an explanation from you and your people for the savagery that "you" have committed.
Stop following the fanatics among us and think like a reasonable person....think!

extremely comparable to a reasonable Christian, or reasonable Jew, or reasonable Sikh? I.e. no longer an extremist (which you get in all religions, so enable's no longer fake Islam is the only faith human beings look for to unfold by violent and unacceptable ability). A reasonable Christian follows the bits interior the Bible approximately no longer killing and loving your neighbours and so on, yet ignores the bits approximately killing non-believers, stoning human beings to dying ,and so on. A reasonable Muslim is an identical - they stick to the sturdy bits, and forget relating to the intense, out-dated bits. we don't say human beings are no longer Christians simply by fact they do no longer stick to the Bible to the letter (and thank god they do no longer, or we would all be attacked and murdered and so on for no longer believing), so why does a similar no longer prepare to Muslims?

The Muslims that are peaceful and law-abiding are in terror just like everybody else.
I wouldn't speak out either if there was a chance my family members who were still over there may be taken prisoners or killed. Who would go ranting in the street calling the terrorists murderers,,,,not me.
Think people....think.

Fear is a great inhibitor.
War sells newspapers and television.
Bad news builds TV ratings.
Remember how hard people fought against the Vietnam War (Oh!-- Police action) and how long it took the Governments to care.
