So, let's call the integers X, X+1, and X+2

(X+1)+25 = 5*(X+2)

X + 26 = 5*X + 10
16 = 4*X
4 = X

So, the integers are 4, 5, and 6

I have the same homework but I know how to do it. Have her set it up like this but without 1) , 2) and so on. Have her break the problem down into steps.

1. Let a = first number
2. Let b = second number
3. Let c=third number
4. Set up the problem.
b+25=5c
Use guess and check.
Say 5 was b and 6 was c.
Does 5+25= 5x6?
Try it out. Sorry I can't really DO the problem for you. I can only give you an idea. Do you understand now?
