There are plenty of people here who gave you the right answer, but the real question is, do you understand what they said!!!!
Solids have a definite shape and a definite size. Like you take a rock and put it on the table. It doesnt change shape or size, does it. It just stays the same.
Liquids have a definite size, but can be different shapes. Like, if you have some milk, can it fit into glasses that are different shapes? Yes, but if you put it back in the original container, it still has the same amount of milk, right?
Gases has no definite size or shape. So, you have a balloon full of air (a gas) - you can squish it around and change its shape, and if you put it in the refrigerator it will shrink! but then if you take it out it will expand back to its orginial size.
So, if you have some iron, does it have a size and shape or not?
Try to understand the question, not just grab an answer, OK? That will help you more in school!

The solid state of matter is when the material has a definite volume or size and distinct shape at a given temperature. A piece of iron at room temperature has a shape and size that does not change. Ice is another solid, but its temperature must be below 0o C (32o F)

Not a stupid question. It will depend on how many atmospheres of pressure are present. At 1 atm and at room temperature, it will be a solid.
Or am I way off on this?

If you doubt that it is, pick up a piece and wack it on something solid.
