IF YOU ANSWER YES: Why? I have often heard of people thinking it would be such a wonderful world. A wonderful world? Wouldn't there be people who would abuse such powers? People who would maim or kill?
You would have to be on constant alert for psychic vampires , mind readers/ controllers, and many other fiends. If you still believe this world would be better off being dominated by people with abnormal powers then please argue your point. If you can make a good point then I will award you TEN points.

NO: Can you explain why? Without stealing my ideas!

I have heard of the evil psychics. They use their auras to harm! Not only good people, but evil ones can be psychically developed.

No - because being psychic can be a blessing and a curse. I have been psychic all my life and now work as a professional. You bet there are people that abuse their powers in this business, I have met a few. However, I do not beleive psychics have the power to maim or kill, at least have never had any dealings like that. Most real psychics are ultra senstive people, who are empathic. Empathy is the ability to read and understand people and be in-tune with or resonate with others, voluntarily or involuntarily of one's empath capacity. Empaths have the ability to scan another's psyche for thoughts and feelings or for past, present, and future life occurrences. Many empaths are unaware of how this actually works, and have long accepted that they were sensitive to others. Empathy is a feeling of another's true emotions to a point where an empath can relate to that person by sensing true feelings that run deeper than those portrayed on the surface. I think the general public has a very distorted view of what a psychic really is. Information relayed to us comes from a higher source yes, but a real psychic understands that higher source is love, and does not instil fear in their clients. Not everything a client wants to know is always accessable to psychics either. Some clients think we can just snatch whatever information they want out of the sky and relay it to them. This is far from the truth.

My answer is no. You cannot become a psychic. If you have the gift, you can enrich it, but you cannot acquire it. Not everyone is psychic to some degree as modern thinking would have us believe. I know you say you are looking for a 'yes' answer, but are you really? Psychics are on constant alert, not for vampires, mind readers, and fiends, but for the information that is being sent to them. I believe that psychics do not have 'abnormal powers', true psychics have gifts and most, if not all, use them for good. I do know psychics who do not admit to being psychic at all. For example: what about the woman who knows when her child is in danger in college many miles away? She calls, she paces, she tries the phone again, and when the call comes, she denies any previous knowledge of the situation. She may have had all the details in her psyche, but for whatever reason, pretended not to know anything. She's a true psychic, but she denies it.
As a footnote, I am against cookie cutter society. We shouldn't all be the same in anything!

To begin with yes, everyone does have psychic abilities but the problem is when people are taught.

We already have skilled killers, rapist, pedophiles and other general psychopaths out there that are smart enough to fool the police. If they have give them another abilities that can be used by the dark, like being narcissistic, than you are asking for trouble. Just think about people that can bend time. Will a killer be able to slip away fast enough and still have an ability to count for the mere TEN minute he was gone. Or Pyrotechnics, we already have terrorist that are strapping bomb and walking into building. What about a person that can take a flame from a match or a lighter and turn it into a roaring fire?

And kids. Kids in themselves are psychic vampires, some more than other. But when are you going to teach them and expend their gifts. If you do it to young they might turn it on other children. If their other their gift might manifest in other ways that can be worse than teaching them. And whose job would it be to teach them. Will the government that is so tight on teaching funs hire more teachers to add to schools. Or is it the parents job to find private teachers? And for how long do you teach?

And then there will be more ‘human studies’ that might end up being human testing. And just think if you have a child that has great powers. Will the child be idolized or isolated. Will the government take him for ‘public’ safety. Or will the government look at the children of tomorrow as a super race that can be used as a weapon in all our pointless wars? Will they have hundreds of children locked in rooms forced to do astral projection in hopes for info on Osma.

In the end if everyone devolved their psychic abilities there would be more problems than good. Yes, you might have more doctors that can sense a injury through the aura, or mind readers that can identify sociopath children but here will be a hundred more that can learn to shield themselves. Again, you will have more children age death for those children that will try to go to far with their gifts and end up killing themselves, or those that in the end can’t manage their powers. There are to many cons to pros. My answer is a strong NO.

No... just no.

Hell, I only have intermittant psychic moments and I want to shut those off. If you were psychic, you'd know exactly how odd it is. To live every moment wondering if you were experiencing real life, or if you needed schitzophrenia treatment. It wouldn't be a wonderful place. There would be no way to describe time, as the past, present and future would be happening simultaneously.

Life and death would be meaningless.

Existance would be even more futile than it seems now.

Hail Eris!

of course not. but to be fair, you seem to want to count all metaphysical things to being psychic, the aura has nothing to do with being psychic, as being psychic only relates to seeing the future, clairvoyant is the present in other places and dimensions, telekinetic is affecting outside conditions with the will, and so on.

that being said, there are people that we all know shouldn't be breeding, would you want them to be psychic? Criminals would know where the police would come from, and would evade, and it would all become a hot potato game that wouldn't be able to end well.

Yes ! and No !

Yes because ppl would/could be more tolerant of each other, empathetic, able to heal better, etc.

No because some would use that ability to over power others, or influence them against there own free choice/will.

As I am sure you are aware of this, it is the one rule I have, that I will not go against, even in healing. Permission first..."Do Not Impose on Another persons Free Choice, Free Will"

And whole heartily agree with Violet
Be at peace within yourself and the universe

if everyone were psychic it would be too hard to have relationships because you would always know what each other is thinking- i know i think some pretty bad things when im mad at my boyfriend. and its bad enough that i am psychic, but if he used his powers it would be hell. lol. he gets so mad at me sometimes because he is always curious when he hears police or ambulance sirens and i dont bother looking because i already know what is happening. i dont think it bothers him as much as he is jealous, lol.

some of us are suppose to have stronger psychic powers for all the right reasons. mainly because we can handle them responsibly. too many people today dont even believe in us...its sad.

the only thing that would be remotely good about that situation would be to prevent disasters, and that would only be in very few situations.

also, too many people are afraid of spirits and that comes along with the territory. too many people just simply could not handle it.

i think you made a very good point. blessed be.

No - Not because people would use it to their advantage. Not because someone would be stronger than you or dominate you.

No - simply because....not everyone is destined to enhance what has been given to them at birth. Yes, we all do have it in us and we rely on it everyday without knowing it. I believe if everyone was able to enhance their psychic abilities in some people it would drive them insane.

Think of Osma or Hitler using that type of ability and the ramifications of what they could have done with clairvoyance or remote viewing, etc....

OK, dig this: Apollo was the god of prophecy (also light, truth, beauty, plagues, archery, and crappy music.) He chased a lot of women (and a few guys, too, I'm sure) but for some reason, they just never wanted to have sex with him. Poor Daphne (Laurel or Bay Tree in Greek) had her dad turn her into a tree so that she wouldn't have to have sex with Apollo. Kassandra got the gift of prophecy from Apollo, but then refused to sleep with him, so he made it so that nobody would believe her prophecies even though they were 100% true.

Why so unlucky in love? Because psychic powers are creepy! Apollo is a spooky, stalker-type guy, always shining the light of prophecy up in everybody's business. Ewwww!! If everybody were psychic, romance would shut down and nobody would want babies because they could see their own romantic future and their kid's future and whether their house would be flattened by a tornado...too much pressure. If everybody knew everybody's secrets, there would be no secrets, and society would collapse. So, no, everybody psychic=bad idea.

But I'm not giving up my own spooky insight!

I agree with you. And think, if politicians had psychic powers, they could control voters to vote for them and agree with everything they say. Eventually, all our brains would be in a crazy state of mind, or mush because everyone would try to control us to think the way they do. We would all possibly be at war with each other for power, and to prevent being controlled by one person. That, and think of what would happen if Bush had pyschic powers. Scary, huh? I think it should be a decision for an individual rather than a requirement. But that's my opinion.
