calcuate the pressure that is being exerted onto the meat as it is being sliced?- P=f/a= 50/0.002=25,000
if the knife gets rusty, it's cutting surface area and hence applied pressure will be affected, and the knife will not cut as well. use your own numbers to show how, even though the same force is being applied as above, the knife will not cut as well.
how do u do this problem? choose any number less than 0.002m^2.

In order to calculate this I will need more information. First I will need the type, density and cooked temperature of the meat in question, ie: raw, rare, medium rare, medium, etc. Next you will need to give me the accumulated rust (measured in microns). I will need to know the cutting angle you plan to use and whether you wish to cut with or against the meats grain. Lastly, I need to know what kind of sauce you wish to go with your meat, ie: Worcestershire, A1, tarter, etc., would you like baked potato or fries, salad, what to drink and what for desert.
