No they are not in every conflict yes the goal is world domination Muslim believers believe that, ultimately, Islam will prevail on earth. They believe this is the only true religion and there is no room, in their mind, for interpretation. The main difference between moderate Muslims and extremists is that moderate Muslims don't think they will see the absolute victory of Islam during their lifetime, therefore they respect other beliefs. The extremists believe that the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Islam and ruling the entire world as described in the Koran, is for today

Absolutely false. Some examples, just off the top of my head:
Seems like the media entirely forgets about the parts of Africa that aren't Muslim. There's constant conflicts going on in Somalia and many other Central and Western African nations. Nobody pays any attention, but they're going on, and they're bloody. Not to mention that one of the members of Bush's Axis of Evil - North Korea - is a secular dictatorship!
Also, you can't really say the conflicts that are based in Islamic countries are "Islam" vs. something. Islam is a religion, not a government, not a people. There are people who are Muslims who are actively engaged in violence and terrorism, and they do use tenets of their religion to justify it. BUT, you cannot indict an entire religion based on their behavior.
Whenever you hear blanket statements like that, you're right to be suspicious. Whoever said that is an idiot.

it's so not true. the fighting and killing and death squads in central and south america have nothing to do wth islam, and everything to do with politics. and sri lanka is about ethnic tamils against the government. there are a lot of conflicts that have nothing to do with islam. and the goal of basically ALL organized religions (with the exception of buddhism), especially the evangelical protestants, is to convert everyone and to control as many people as possible

I believe anyone that could make such an assumption is grossly uninformed about world religion. Ex: The recent problem the US has been having with illegal immigration, is this the fault of Islam? I don't believe so..... So to answer your question, I don't believe that Islam is responsible for all the conflict in the world, and people should really know another religion before they make accusations concerning it.
