What kind of a question Is this? A trick question? Am I on Candid Camera or what?
Your answer is a resounding and unequivical "NO!"
The population of the United States is nowhere near as cultured, well-mannered or educated as even the population of MEXICO! (I'm not being provocative here. A recent survey showed that 65% of American high school graduates could NOT successfully find France on a world map. Only 22% of Mexican students failed the same test. In another survey, over 80% of US high school students could NOT name the leaders of Mexico or Canada, the US's closest neighbours. 95% of Mexican students COULD however name the leader of the US and almost 40% that of Canada!)
The United States is without doubt the most backward of all the so-called "advanced" nations of the world, and even more intellectually backward than much of the "Third World!"
(and YES you dimwits, some peoples, some countries are WAY more cultured than others, if you lived in one of them you would UNDERSTAND that!)

Hi. Good question. All people have culture. And no one culture is superior to any other. Only different. Europeans have a similar culture. Americans have a similar culture. You can compare the two only in a horizontal equation. And the same is true for any other culture as well from the indigenous peoples of the Pacific to the the Americans from Brazil or Peru.

"And no culture is superior to any other"
That's what you PC crowd want to think. Answer me this then, is an African living in a mud hut somewhere doing a tribal dance to bring rain equal in culture to someone in the West studying meteorological techniques? Please!
Also, if all cultures are equal then why are so many fleeing the consequences of their own cultures? Why is the rule of law then almost non existent in non Western countries?

I don't think so... IF we are speaking in general terms.... by living in the states and being able to meet people from other countries it is obvious that americans just don't get enough exposure to other cultures....Europeans are able to travel to other countries more freely and most of them are bilingual if not trilingual..there are always exceptions, but generally no.

I would say Americans are cultured in different ways, and not all in the same way, and each European country also has a distinct culture.

No, Europeans have a better educational system (they learn two to three foreign languages). Europe has many cultures, and is filled with historic treasures (The Louve, Michaelangelo's artwork, The Pantheon, The Colliseum, etc.). America is only 200 years old, so it is in its babyhood compared to Europe, in my opinion.

All depends on what your meaning of culture is. Upper class citizens (both European and American) always know how to order (and pay for) an excellent bottle of wine. And the rest of us know the best beer to drink - which we prefer to drink cold and straight from the bottle. :-)

Yes, Europeans always seem to know a lot more stuff (both useful and useless) than us Yanks do.
