Dear Emma:
Expert have conducted a study on Internet Explorer and it has been proved that it is less functional and it lets in all kind of stuff you don't even know about. My sugestion is that you should stop using Internet Explorer or iexplorer.exe
Try Mozilla Firefox or Opera. You can download it for free and you can customize it the way you please. Plus it tells you when something is accesing your computer. It searches the internet the way you want and accelerates the downloads.
Hope the info was useful
Laura

At a mates house, takes me ages to get on the net here. They have BT option 1. I wonder if option 3 gets there quicker, as it cost more.

Probably best to do a full system scan with your anti-virus. If anything it'll make you feel better that its the internet not your computer and its virus!
