I have to say Abbey Road. It really is the most cohesive album. The funny thing is, the band was breaking up at the time. I also like the White Album, but to me it is a bunch of solo tunes. Doesn't really sound like a band. Sgt. Pepper's is considered by many to be the greatest album of all time. However, I don't think it has held up as well. Besides "When I'm 64" and "A Little Help from My friends", how many of those songs do you hear these days?

There isn't one. They're all great from first to last but I suppose if you had to be definitive you would have to go for Sergeant Pepper since that was the one that created the biggest change in the music scene ever. My preference changes depending on my mood but as i play guitar it really depends on what I'm playing.

I saw the Beatles perform twice in 1963 and they were fabulous, like nothing I've heard before or since and also had the good fortune to meet them. They were really down to earth and John Lennon, in particular, really couldn't understand their popularity. He said "We're just a band who play good music!"
