I just got a laptop and i will be on it for most of the time,
does n e one know if that will hurt your eyes?

looking at anything this close is bad for your eyes. but its better than CRT since it does not flicker.

Laptop screens being LCDs are better for your eyes than CRTs.

But focusing your at eyes one distance for any great length of time on a bright object is not good. I usually try to get up and focus at something about 25 feet away for like 2 minutes or so for every hour and a half im sitting in front of a screen.

This works for me I find if i do this my eyes don't feel fatigued as quickly.

There isn't conlusive proof that any computer screens damage your eyes simply because computers are realtively new, And studies haven't had enough time to see the effects of a generation that has been on the computer as much as my generation has (Im 16 FYI)

But I can say staring at one bright object for a extended period of time can't be good, do yourself a favor take a break when you can.

no its not bad for your eyes. because laptops have LCD screens.

i dont think so, and i hope not cuz im alwaz on mine.....my eyes rnt bad......but im pretty sure they dont
