do you think jennifer lopez really did a good job portraying sel? alot of people that didn't know of her before her death think it was a great job but I don't think she even came close to her what do you think?

WONDERFUL!!! Even Selena's parents said so. The father said they had to leave the concert filming part because they cried so hard. They said she looked EXACTLY like Selena did. She didn't, in my opinion but she was damn close.

Hmmm...I'm going to say that most people didn't personally know Selena...most of the fan base, I mean, and I think that J Lo did a good job of making her very attractive and loveable...when you see the movie, you honestly get why people liked her so much and missed her terribly...if J Lo wouldn't have portrayed her so sweetly and well, I don't think audiences would have bought into that...
Plus, the movie increased her fan base so much...again partially due to J Lo's portrayal...
Why? What differences did you notice? Just curious.

Im not a fan of either but I liked her in that movie, it was sad and selenas family had the final say on the movie and they thought she was good enough at portraying their daughter so thats all that matters =)

Selena was the Tejana Queen - J Lo did a good job, but no one can compare to Selena. I loved her before she died to. I guess it is a South West thing.

I love Selena. JLo didnt do so bad, she kindda looked like Selena a little bit. But no one can replace Selena, she was my favorite singer and she still is. QUE VIVA EL NOMBRE DE SELENA. Se que ya murio pero que su nombre y su voz siga adelante

She was OK. It's to bad they even had to make the movie. Selena was great and died too young.
