Neither
But we do think differently.
Males tend to have less connections between the two halves of the brain. The upside of the discussion is that this system is better for thinking fast "on your feet" so to speak.
Females have far more connections between the two halves of the brain with the result being that they are better at collecting and analyzing information from multiple and sometimes unrelated sources. This is commonly called a woman's "intuition".
These are very much generalizations, of course, as any particular individual, male or female, may function far outside of the norm. Women can "think on their feet" and men can analyze information from disparate sources. But there are definate physical differences in their brain structure.
Of course, no one is going to be perceived as "smart" if they do not learn as much as they can and then learn to use their "learning" in a proper manner.

There is absolutely no difference between the sexes. The only differences that exist are a result of preconditioned perceptions. The question in and of itself is proof that you are indeed a victim of these sociological forces. Free yourself, and everyone else, of the need to constantly separate us. By the way, there is a spell check.

It depends on what particular part of the brain you are referring to. If it is logic and sciences, then it is male. If it is creativity and emotion, then female.

smart is a very ambiguous word. what some people consider "smart" others may not. considering that females have been oppressed for thousands of years, however, and weren't able to get a very good education, i think they are at least equal to men.

It depends on the particular people. On average I know not which, if either, should be considered smarter. We are probably not smart enough to define what smart is and determine which on average, if either, should be considered smarter.
