The cliche answer would be a human. We are the most versatile and succesful animals we know of.
How about a green horse with sharp teeth. Green because it has chlorophyl in it's skin to draw food from sunlight and sharp teeth so it can eat meat as well as grass. If you have to fully design the animal, it would also need a different digestion system.

A perfect animal? That sounds quite subjective to me.
Well, in my opinion, a perfect animal would be fast on land, in the water, and in the air. It definitely needs wings and I would say it should be bipedal with hands (so, like humans, but with wings). It should be strong and definitely needs sharp teeth and claws to protect itself. It should be a mammal, so it has hair/fur and gives live birth. It should be able to eat anything. Colorwise... something that will blend with the foothills, as a camouflage. Maybe a purplish brown.

Make a tiger with alligator jaws and webbed toes (keep the sharp claws). Also give it porcupine spikes on its back for extra protection, as well as a unicorn horn. Make the horn, the spikes, and the teeth all able to secrete venom. It also should have thick strong skin on the chest and neck, to protect that area. Make sure it has the ability of a chameleon to blend in with it's surroundings. This should make it become the ultimate predator.
...or you can just go for a shark with a laser beam on its head.

Cheetah with human hands (both front and back) that can stand upright or walk on all fours. retractable wings color would have to blend with the foothills: maybe it has the ability of a cameleon to altar its color to it surroundings.
Benefits
Cheetah: fast, live birth
human hands: hold oblects, easily climb
Retractable wings: it can fly when needed but can retract wings to run fast)
Cameleon: blend in with enviroment.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

How about the body of an armadillo (sp?), the legs of a cheetah, the trunk of an elephant, the ears of a fox, the nose of a rat, the tail of a skunk, and the teeth of a beever?
Is that too hard to draw?

It's already been done. For example the Jackalope, which is part Jack Rabbit and part Antelope. Or...the satyr or the centaur or the mermaid or the sphinx or and on and on....
