I'm a New York City girl who moved last year to FL with my family. In 6 months I was missing NY and was dying to move back. I can name a million reasons why I hated FL at the time...the biggest reason is the low salaries. Now I'm back in NY after 3 months and might have to move back to FL if I don't get a stable job ASAP. A part of me wants to go back to FL, but then I think of why I left. The only reason I would go back would be cause of my family or if I got this amazing job paying me what I'm worth! So confused, with so little time to decide..I need options..suggestions...anything!

I am a Florida native, and my eyes now glaze over at sob stories from people who have used the state as an escape. They think moving here will solve all their problems by starting over again in another location. Instead they bring their problems with them, nothing gets solved, and all they do is whine about how different Florida is from Ohio, NY, PA, etcetera.
Then they get mad when we locals get tired of their insults and tell them to get on a bus and go the hell back home, as they weren't invited in the first place.
Were you aware that over 1000 people move to Florida EVERY DAY? Every single day!! The salaries aren't as high because we have way too many people competing for the same job, and in case you haven't noticed, it doesn't take nearly as much money to live down here as it does up north. That's why the jobs don't pay as much.
Stay where you are, if you feel you are a true city girl and deserve what the city can offer you. Seems like you can't find a job up there either that's worthy of you, but please don't come down here and share your pain. There are already plenty of transplants who are angry and bitter and boring.
