I have filed child support on my daughter father i have heard he cannot ask for a DNA test because he is legally consider her father.His name is on the birth certificate plus, we have also signed a knowledge of paternity paper does anyone knows if this is true that he cant request a dna test? He knows this is his daughter but i hear he can hold up the child support case by asking for a dna test.

I have no doubt in my mind this child is his child he knows this as well he's great by visitation and poor at supporting his daughter needs i have been doing that part for 2 years to long now and knows he only gonna try to hold it up its sad but true he still gonna have to PAY!!

I know in Michigan you can charge him interest of 6% (or % value based on loans) on all child support due. You can try this in your state, it may work. Your key point is malicious deviation of monies owed.

He can get a DNA test anyway. If he pays child support he can request that it be stopped if he is not the father. The amount he has already paid will not have to be paid back if he signed the birth certificate.

he has the right to know if the child is really his. he can get a dna test done. he will prolly still have to pay child support then if the test came back that he wasnt the father the money he paid will have to be paid back to him.

if you have no doubt he is the father then dont worry about it.
