Were you using an anti-static mat and a grounding strap? If not, you could have sent ESD (electro-static discharge) into your mother board and damaged it.

try checking if the auxilliary power cable is plugged. its the power wire with a square layout. if that doesnt help maybe you cracked the board or you might have sent static in it (though from my experience thats not usually the case ive seen people touching pc parts without any anti static strap or mat and the computer works fine)or try swapping your power supply with a power supply wit the same # of wires.

Check the wire that you unplugged. Make sure that you have plugged it back in properly and that is seated completely into the receptacle. Check all of the input hardware wires. Be sure they are plugged in properly and completely. Be sure that the computer is unplugged from the wall socket and the battery is removed (if a laptop) BEFORE you start working inside of your computer.

You must have damaged your motherboard like the guy above me said.
