I do not go to church and I have no specific religion. But I believe in the power of the goodness within oneself. and in the power of a Higher Being
I almost feel as though I know what this woman was thinking as she lay dying. I believe she had a deep love and understanding of her fellow man - be he friend or foe. She had an unfailing belief in God and his divine guidance. She was also aware, despite that she was killed by an enemy, of the omnipotent power of forgiveness.
The nun had her beliefs. Apparently she lived by them. And then had to die by them
One cannot begin to understand the minds of those who killed her. But at the time this happened, I do not believe that they were thinking in terms of "weak" or strong.
....To them, It was just a matter of blind and relentless revenge.

I believe that she was shot not because of the popes comments but by local warlords in a chaotic country with no law or order.
She forgave her murderers nothing more nothing less.
The reasoning for my belief is that she was murdered with her bodyguard, which tells me she that she needed protection because of other reasons.
But the popes comments which in my opinion have been taken out of context did add to any plotting on her death in the first place.

The only possible meaning these words would have for Muslims is that she was forgiving the pope for saying what he said. Other than that, if she hadn't died, they would have come back to finish her off.

I hope that I wen I die it will be in such a spirit.
To forgive is not to be God, but definitely is godly.
I admire her courage, as well as her giving heart.

Crazy, everybody's crazy. Everybody feels like they've got to have something to die for, everybody thinks they're doing god's work...
When it comes to words, I have the same opinion as Hamlet.
