Too many cooks...though it's almost like "how long is a piece of string". I would be tempted to say two cooks happen to be one too many, as they may not all agree on what the broth should be, and so spoil it with their own competition of flavourings.

was watching hells kitchen usa tonight it would only take 1 of those useless yanks to spoil a boiled egg let alone broth lol

If its more than one cook cooking then you must get really worried.. When you are driving its easy to get lost when you passenger starts telling you which directions you must take. Same with cooking.
