the cure is to change up your routine. think about things that are positive. And working towards changing whatever depresses you. Removing a stressful person, finding feelings in a new person. i wouldnt just skip to therapy and medication.

I don't think there's actually a "cure" for depression (of any kind). First you have to figure out what kind it IS- & then how to "manage" it- until it works itself out. If you just wake up one day & feel "down" -then the answer to getting rid of the feeling- might just be as simple as "taking the day off"- & doing something different. If the depression is deeper & more long lasting, then you need to find out what's behind it & take steps to change the situation that's causing it. If the depression is severe enough to interfere with how you live your every day life, - then you need to see a Counselor or someone who has some experience with handling that sort of problem. The bottom line IS, do SOMETHING about your depression- before it gets any worse. THAT responsibility is yours. Good luck.

I don't think there is a cure for depression. Antidepressants correct the chemical imbalance only for the time you are taking them. As we come to understand it more, I think there will be a cure or at least treatments that are more tolerable and more targeted to the actual problem. You can try hanging out with friends, listening to soothing music, watch a funny movie. Laughter is the best medicine.

Talking with friends or a therapist is a good start. Medications might be necessary, and maybe temporary if your depression is due to a recent event. Fix the underlying problem if able. Like for instance, get a job, or a hobby so your not bored. Eating healthier and working out are also good in combination with the above. But get help if you feel you may hurt yourself or others.

Depression is a sign that somethings wrong.

You have to spend time with yourself. You have to research you brain to find what is the underlying issue. For some ppl it's giving too much ... for others it's not having enough recognition; then you need to challenge u'rself with higher goals ... for some it's chemical imbalance.

Usually a combination of antidepressants and cognitive behavioural therapy. That is of course, if you are talking about true depression and not just feeling a little down.

Find other things to take your mine off what ever is bothering you. Stand back and think what it is and face . it. You are only prolonging the problem , it has to be fixed. Think of things and how happy you are to be alive and fix it your self. You are hiding from the truth, sooner or later it can get the best of you. Show you are a strong person, and can deal with it. Prozac does wonders. Medication is the only proven method for clinical depression. Talk therapy is just hype in my opinion.
