Maybe burning a DVD - each takes 4GB

If you have a 'crossover' ethernet cable, use that. You can log onto the 'old' PC using 'Tools, Map Network Drive' the quickest.

I'd try a USB cable from your main system to the laptop. Your Main system should see the the laptop and ask you via wizard how you'd like to set up the new device. Then you should be able to use the USB connection to transfer any information you want to the laptop. There are two ways I'd suggest doing the transfer. Either in My computer or the way I'd do it with the use of Windows Explorer. Good luck

۞ Buy a cd/dvd rewriteable cd/dvd format it with nero in cd then drag and drop or copy and paste to it like you would a floppy when it is full copy the disk in nero then burn it onto a write once cd/dvd then delete the files from the re writable cd/dvd and use again thats the most economical way to do it. If you use a dvd you are transfering 4.4gb of data per disk ۞

Plug them both into the same network and the drag and drop from one to the other.

if no network is handy just buy a hub (about $10-$30) and plug them both in as if it was a network.

Plug it into a network. 100Mbps will tranfer about 9MB/s.

You can also use a direct USB to USB cable but its much slower.
