No. I have never read that book. I have tons of friends and none of them have read it neither...well maybe some but I don't think that reading a book will bring you more popularity.
Maybe Harry Potter but not such controversial book...but who knows :)

No, but the book is awesome and well worth your time. The movie was a disappointment.
