Yep! already started. i'm not an all year round shopper but i do watch the january sales for christmas wrap, ribbons etc.
i find if i start shopping just after school is back in session i obviously find bargains in clothes for the kids on my list. i shop in person and am not above shopping in the discount stores as well as the boutique shops.
i hate wasting my money so i look for something i really think the people i buy for will enjoy and gifts of time are still a great idea! providing you follow through!
i have a friend who can't get out much through the winter so i buy bird feeders as needed and bird seed and suet to entice the birds to her yard. i then commit to going over twice a week and ensuring the feeders are full, the seed is fresh and the droppings cleaned up. she gets such enjoyment out of watching the birds come to her yard it makes it worthwhile!
another friend is a bachelor, and my gift to him this year will be fresh baked goods once a week throughout the year as well as i will iron his dress shirts, [max five shirts], once a week. last year my gift to him was housecleaning once a week. generally on friday so when he brought home a date, she would be impressed with 'his' housekeeping skills!
some friends are avid readers so i sign them up for a book of the month club and pay whatever the commitment is for that club. usually four to six books over a year period.
my girlfriend has two teenagers and i can never get through on the phone to speak with her, so i called her local phone company and arranged to have voice mail added to her phone and i pay the monthly fee. she couldn't afford to have it and i couldn't stand hearing a busy tone all evening....now when i call and the kids are on the phone i can leave a message for her. much less frustrating.
my other friends entertain a great deal, so i volunteer to 'man' the bar for htem when they are having a large function. this occurs several times a year and i have a great time. i get to be part of whatever the occasion is but i don't have to 'mingle'.

oh i love to shop in the stores, no online shopping for me.
i usually start somewhere in july, which is a tad ridiculous i'll admit but i find good deals & i have plenty of time to remember everyone.
i save the last minute ideas for the ones that dont require alot of thought like....my ex girlfriend's daughter's grandmother. lol

I usually use some of my items that I used last year. I think it's a great way to save money...but yes I already started buying some Christmas crafts.
There was a Crafts show at downtown and I went a spent like $200 worth of cool little Santas and other decorations - hand made :)

Oh extremely. yet then i'm having to rejoice the holiday journeys earlier Thanksgiving this 365 days, because of the fact i'm going to be foreign places while Thanksgiving and yuletide rolls around. So i offered all presents until eventually now this month, and we are celebrating on the two the 18th or nineteenth of November. I go away on the twentieth. that's totally situational, although.

I hate the malls so I really can't wait until last minute. I also hate crowds, so this year I'm starting in October. Then maybe i won't be so broke by new years

I usually wait until right about Thanksgiving and start my shopping and it last until right up to Christmas! So my answer is "NO" - I haven't started shopping for x-mas gifts!

Sadly, yes. I'm somewhere in between. I do my shopping both online and at stores (mostly discount stores - Kohls is about as upscale as I go).

Yeah...I've bought a few things. I generally pick up unique items and setting them aside when I'm on vacation. I'll be going on another cruise in October..and will get more things then.
Within the next week for so I'm going to start my list, and filling in the items I've gotten.
