The religious paranoids in this country cannot embrace the idea that homosexuality could be biological because it would directly conflict with their religious beliefs. They believe that God is infallible. If people are born gay then it was God's plan for them to be that way. Were that true, the religious fringe must embrace them, which they cannot do under the current interpretations of the scripture.

Regina, you said it exactly!! "know from personal experiments". It shows how thick you are. You experimented, as everyone does. But homosexuality is not defined by sexual acts, it is deemed by the person feeling attracted to those of the same sex and also wanting to have emotional relationships with people of the same sex.
"Homosexuality means when some people are (sexually and romantically) attracted to people of the same gender" (Wiki)
"Homosexuality is a sexual orientation characterized by aesthetic attraction, romantic love, or sexual desire exclusively for another of the same sex." (Laborlawtalk)
If you say you wanted this, but now do not, then you are the first person in history to be gay and then "change back" without brainwashing or self denial (I assume that these are not why you are now heterosexual).
Congratulations!!! You are a medical and psychological marvel!!!
However, if you did not feel emotionally and physically attracted to the person of the same sex when you experimented, then you were not gay for a time, so you did not "change back", making your theory, and argument null and void. So stop talking about something you know nothing about, the same way I, as a male, will not presume to know what it is like to be a woman.
Read this before you throw your pseudo Christian opinions about like they are facts.

Because they are afraid that it could be true that it is not a choice.
The idea behind this is: If it is NOT a choice, that it could happen to anyone. Anyone might suddenly realize they are gay and be powerless against it. No one is 'safe'.
If it IS a choice then there is nothing to worry about. If 'the gays' choice to be that way then one can choice not to be that way. So one is safe.

Homosexuality is a choice.?
It has been established for some time that one's sexual orientation is part of the basic personality structure and formed before the age of two. The most recent studies, however, both behavioral and biological, indicate one's sexual orientation is genetic—something determined at conception. Whether it happens before birth or it happens by age two, the determination of sexual orientation can hardly be considered a choice. One can, of course, choose not to follow one's natural orientation, but this is not the sort of choice the proponents of this myth mean. They mean that gay people choose to be gay in the same way that they might sit down and choose which program to watch on television, which team to bet on in the Super Bowl, or whether or not they want pepperoni on their pizza.
The idea behind this myth is: a perfectly normal, well-adjusted heterosexual is sitting around one day and just decides to go gay, as one might decide to move to Antarctica or try to flush hockey pucks down the toilet. It is truly aberrant behavior, but it is his or her choice. Implied in this choice, of course, is a certain hostility to God, parents, society, and the American way. It's as though being gay is a pathological act of rebellion.
Gays don't choose to be gay; they discover they're gay. Like heterosexuals, they find themselves increasingly attracted (romantically as well as sexually) to a particular gender. The bisexuals find themselves attracted to both. (Even though, as Woody Allen says, "Bisexuality immediately doubles your chances for a date on Saturday night," discovering one's bisexuality must be more confusing than discovering one is primarily gay or straight.)
They can fuss it anyway they like i wonder why they care so much ...MAYBE THERE SCARED WERE ENJOYING IT ALL TO MUCH...we are...lol

Not everyone likes to be called "on the fence", so some bi people chose.
Funny thing that the charistians (love your neiborgh) are so hateful of those un the other side of the fence, the gras is greener anyone? No wonder so many homofobics have been found fearful of THE BEAST INSIDE!
Also very funny that, despite god haven given us FREE will, no one actually "chooses" to be straight

I think heterosexual people refer to homosexuality as a choice because it makes it easier to villify gay people. It is much easier to hate someone who chooses to act "immorally" than to excuse someone who has no choice. Some speak of loving the sinner but hating the sin, but I think that is rot. How can you truly love someone unless you accept who they are?

Because they are smugly ignorant. They like to point out that a "gay gene" hasn't been found yet. They ignore the fact that a "straight gene" hasn't been found yet either.
Mostly, they're christian dumbasses, and for some reason, they are proud of that. I have no idea why they are.

Well the main reason I think they want to claim it's a choice is to deny their "God" did make us that way.
I know we are born with the predisposition, but I really don't care. If it were a "choice" it is just as valid as any choice they made.
