no no no. What you are expecting from your baby is what is called "separation anxiety". Be greatful it is not happening now. When you child screams and cries when you go away it makes you have feelings of guilt for leaving them.

Your baby does love you ;) Babies always love their momma

You should sign up for a babycenter.com newsletter. It keeps you up to date on what you should expect from your child at each stage of life.

Don't feel bad. Babies have a short memory and their responses and reaction are based upon their very basic fundamental needs. He probably just was more engrosses for the thirty seconds you are saying goodbye.

Your baby does love you. But she is still a baby. Now when he turns 16 the love thing might change.

Of course he loves you!
It just means that Grandma is an excellent babysitter. Your baby feels at home with her which is a good thing.
The transition from Mama's house to Grandma's house and back is not a stressful situation for him. He knows everything's going to be okay when you leave him with her and he DEFINITELy knows that you will return soon to take him back home.

His smile to you just meant that he knew you'd be back for him.He was happy to see you ;)

I left my 18 month old son with his grandparents for a week when I went to Vegas. When I came back I gave him a hug and he pushed me away. Talk about rejection. But then I realized that he was safe and loved and he knew it. That's all he cared about.

Your baby loves you. It may have hurt some that he didn't seem very excited to see you, but at the end of the day you are mommy and you are the one who cares for him and he knows that. He loves you like you wouldn't believe.

Of course he loves you.
Be glad he doesn't cry when you leave him!!
One day you may have to leave him and if he screams you will really feel bad.
Children need to be away from mom sometimes and moms need to be away from them too. Its good for everyone, even grandma!!

Wait until he turns a year old and the separation anxiety kicks in. Don't worry he loves you and sounds like he is well adjusted.

He loves you, you just disappeared for a day and he was well taken care of. Just security for him. He'll love you in the morning when you have his food waiting for him.
