full of terrorists, pedophiles, rapists and homos?
Isn't having a baby totally irrational in today's world?
Yes, you will satisfy your ego by creating a new life, but what about your innocent child?

Ya know I worry about that every day. I have a 3 year old and am pregnant with our second and sometimes I ask myself if it was fair or right to bring children into the world the way it is today, but then my mother pointed out that there have always been reasons like that not to have children. From wars to diseases and such there will always be something evil that our children will be exposed to-it's all about how you help them cope with it. There has always been some unimaginable something going on in each generation. If we just stopped having kids because of a war or such the world would cease to exist. We probably wouldn't even be here.

After reading this question and the other one you posted (about black teenage mothers screaming at and berating their children), I'm guessing you have some "baby" issues.

I didn't have my children because I needed to satisfy my ego. I had children because I love children, and my husband and I wanted to have kids to love them unconditionally and raise them to be good, upstanding citizens who will one day do a great service for this country. Period. That, and I'm incredibly fertile. Two times in the four years my husband and I have been together, we've had unprotected sex, and two times I've become pregnant. Just call me Fertile Myrtle!

Sounds like you aren't (fertile) and that's part of the problem. I'm sorry you're unable to conceive a child. Have you thought about getting a dog? That's what most people who are barren do...

There have been terrorists, pedophiles, rapists, and "homos" (are they that bad?) for decades. Most people turn out just fine. Good parenting goes a long way.

I look at it as my child could be one to make a difference in the world. Every life serves a purpose and having a baby gives you a fresh start and a chance to do good in the world by raising him or her to be a person of morals, ethics, and goodness. Who knows? You're child could be the next to find a cure for cancer or make a huge impact for the greater good.

Because my children may be a huge part of the solution to today's problems.

Having babies for me isn't about ego, it's about giving back to the world the good I put into my children.

as long as you raise your child in a loving environment and educate your child on what happens in the world and be an active parent you can influence your child to grow up and be a wonderful productive person who will teach their future children to be a wonderful person in today's society. Being a parent is hard but very wonderful, fun and educating at the same time.

Good luck!!

when you were born, the world was full of terrorists, pedophiles, rapists, and homos. It's been that way since the caveman days.

Why the distinction now?

There is good in the world too....Thank God your parents had you, and raised you narrow minded, what would the world do without people ignorant as yourself!! I wouldn't put homosexuality in the same category as rapist and terrorist, I'm not gay, but I think they deserve to be loved. People like yourself is why the world is full of hate

well, funnily enough i don't think 'homos' are going to pose as much a threat to your baby as your terroists and pedos, but i sort of follow your twisted logic. except we have a moral obligation to continue creating new life to ensure the survival of our species.. nothing to do with egos. and whose going to look after you when your old and funny in the head? the worlds not all that bad. lighten up
