They let out a blood curdleing scream when they are about to die. It'll scare the crap outta you if you aren't ready for it.

I have heard them scream like a woman in the middle of the night, causing some of the neighbors, thinking there was an assault, to call the police.

rabbits only make sounds when they are dying, and it's a long squealing noise. other than that they live their whole lives without making a peep.
