God might like you more, I guess. As for people, well, people who want to like you will like you whether or not you go to church. I sure hope you're not thinking of attending church in order to get people to like you, because that's not what's going to happen. You can't make someone like you. People are going to think whatever they want of you no matter what you do, and you'll just drive yourself crazy trying to make anyone else (other than yourself) like you. Maybe you might want to consider improving yourself so that you like yourself better; that's the only person's opinion you can control, and that's the person whose opinion counts the most. That would create one group, your fellow worshipppers, who would at least pretend to like you for politeness sake. Unless you do something to offend them, then even manners go out the window.
