Your question is stereotypical. I'm a shy home-body, what race am I? Behavior characteristics are not based on race. They are based on social influences. Your question places a negative influence on anyone of who categorizes themself within that race..or it catagorized by the likes of you. So...what does a 'canto' (you edited your question.)chinese individual look like, Hitler?

I only know one Mandarin Chinese woman and no Canto Chinese. My Mandarin friend is a shy homebody, but her sister is wild and outgoing according to my friend.

I think its total opposite. I'm not sure I got my chinese people right though.
If you mean canto as cantonese from Hong Kong, they are very outgoing people.
If you mean mandarin as Chinese from mainland China, they are more reserved. But not to be confused with quiet.
Both groups are very loud people. And pushy :)
nice people though

hmmmmmmm........ I don't know enough Chinese people to make this distinction... what is your sample size to perform a statistical analysis on the data? the smaller the number the more inaccurate the conclusion

I am not sure that statement is true because my Cantonese ex-BF was rather outgoing.
