The big guys in the PC world stopped makin VGA monitors ages ago, so unless you and you're PC rr fossils your monitor is SVGA.

My friend, why don't u c the manual page that supplyed by the seller when u bought the monitor. If ur monitor is at least 8 or 9 years old, then there's a possiblity that ur monitor is VGA compatable monitor. If ur monitor is atleast 4-5 years old, then it may b SVGA monitor. The best way to read the manual supplied by the monitor producer. If u already lost the manual, pls try searching over internet. If u mentioned the name & model no. of ur monitor, probably we could tell u is it VGA or SVGA. Thx 4 ur good question friend.

Just install it. To own a monitor and gfx card that didn't support SVGA (a resolution of 800x600) you'd have to have bought it sometime in the stone age dude seriously.

Thats simple a VGA monitor is a colored monitor WITH knobs and dials and a few buttons. An SVGA however has NO knobs at all. it only has buttons. . if the monitor your buying has knobs and dials then its just a VGA monitor. IF the monitor your buying or using has buttons only and NO knobs and dials then its SVGA

Only an antique monitor will be VGA and not SVGA.

To get complete specs on your monitor, search Yahoo! or Google with the monitor brand and model number. You will likely find complete specifications for it.

They haven't made a vga monitor in 15 years. unless you dug it out of your grandparent's attic, it's an SVGA
