Nope not at all. Ultra sound is just a high frequency sound wave. they found a fibroid in my uterus when i was 16 weeks pregnant with my second, and I had 13 ultrasounds before she was born. She's perfectly fine. Good Luck!

Don't think so. My last baby I had several ultrasounds because of size complications throughout my pregnancy and positioning problems (at the end). I had at least 20 ultrasounds and other than the problems the doc was looking at, there were no problems with the baby and she's a year now. FYI-they have a 3-D ultrasound. It looks really neat and the baby looks like it's in a real picture.

Well, there is no firm evidence either way that ultrasounds are either totally harmless or harmful to baby. Noone really knows what the experience is like for the baby. Usually, unless you are high risk, you wouldn't be offered more than 2 or 3 ultrasounds through your whole pregnancy. On one hand, why do it if it may actually make baby uncomfortable every time you do it? On the other hand, I have friends who were high risk and had one every single month and the babies were fine. If you have no reason to worry I would suggest you try and be a little more patient and stop peeking in on your little one so often!

I was pregnant with twins and they had me have ultrasounds every month for 5 months to check on their growth and development. Theyre was absolutely nothing wrong with them because of the ultrasounds. They were born 6 weeks early because of my blood pressure, and they weighed 5lbs 3oz and 5lbs 8oz, which was really good for being that early. I can honestly say that there is nothing wrong with having that many ultrasounds and there is no evidence that they are bad for the baby.

Ultra sound have not been passed as being safe, as yet. We do know that the baby does know that there is something different. Also since it is sound bouncing off of the uterus the baby does react to this. Love your baby before it's born. If you were very thirsty and someone handed you a glass of water but told you there is a very small amount of arsenic in it and it will not harm the baby. Would you drink it? You will have plenty of time to see your child. It doesn't end at 18 yrs of age. One thing is sure...don't take chances and you wont have any regrets .

There is no scientific proof that ultrasounds harm either the mother or her baby. I'm eight months pregnant and I've had five ultrasounds so far! I love being able to see my baby on the monitor; it makes it feel more real for me. Congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy!

in case you have been pregnant with triplets because of the fact the others have mentioned that's amazingly achievable that the DR did no longer make it easier to know so as that it would not upset you. I went to a fertility medical institution and that i grew to become into advised that the often do no longer tell mothers that they are being concerned multiples until eventually they are 8 weeks or greater. They stored me guessing abotut my twins for some weeks. that's because of the fact that's extremely trouble-free to lose between the youngsters, and it often depresses the mummy critically and ought to effect her pg .
