it's about a bunch of young kids that get stranded on an island because their plane crashed and they have no adult supervision with them. their age range is from around 5 till 12 years old. and they have to learn to survive together. they know that in order to be rescued they need to build a fire so that if a ship passes by they can find them and rescue them. and they name a main leader (ralph) and a leader for the hunters (jack i think) and eventually they don't get along and they separate into 2 groups and one after the other they all start to turn against ralph and they become less human and more savage everyday.... and so on

This plane fullof yong boys crashes on a deserted island. It is basically about their survival. The actual lordof the flies is a severed pigs head that one or two of the boys finds in the jungle.
This book is supposed to be compared to government and how people take control and how peoples animal instincts show through.

The Lord of the Flies, you could say is a philosophy in disguise. The book basically says that without government, man will become totally and utterly uncivilized, and will not be able to survive.

There is a movie on that book.
The movie will give you a nice summary to start on your assignment before you read the whole thing. Watch it over the week, it is pretty good.

two movies on it, one British one American.
military students crash on a deserted Island. at first they try to have structure, but after a while the more dominate students take command and all they want to do is lie around and hunt wild pigs.
most of the students follow the older kids but two or three don't
either by accident or on purpose on kid kills a heavy set kid that
did not follow the other students and the only kid left is hunted by
the other boys. until he is rescued by a search party. British
version the commander or the rescue party ask are you all British. great book and great movie

it is about a bunch of boys hu get stuck on on this deserted island, piggy, a smart but fat boy, finds a conch shell and ralph takes it from him to call all the other boys to a meeting. everyone votes that ralph should be leader, but jack, the leader of a choir is jealous so ralph makes him leader of the hunters. eventually they use piggy's glasses to make fire. everyone starts beleiving there is a beast on the island. then they see a parachute coming down from the sky and they think it is the beast, and then jack wants to become leader so he gets everyone (except piggy and a few others) to be on his side. meanwhile, simon finds a pigs head stuck on a stick and he imagines it talking to him. Then the boys kill simon accidentally when he is about to tell them that he found the parachute and its not actually a beast. then jack steals piggy's glasses and someone kills piggy by pushing a rock on him. everybody is going to kill ralph at the end, so they set the island on fire to try to find him. a boat sees the fire and comes to rescue them at the very end before ralph gets killed.

I hate to be rude, but have you considered purchasing or borrowing from the library the Cliff Notes for the book? (Or maybe you could even read the book and summarize it yourself, as I suspect you were assigned to do.) No one here is going to do your homework for you.
