It's a bit like Russian Roulette. The odds are with you, but eventually you will get very sick. Trichinosis can kill you. Be careful.

Parasitic infections were common before strict hygiene regulations and inspections were introduced in slaughter-houses. Now, there is little chance of parasites or cysts being present in pork.
The inside of any cut of meat is usually free of bacteria; however, the cut surfaces of the meat are often covered in them. For that reason, it is much safer to at least quickly sear the outside surfaces of the meat, killing the bacteria there. The inside could then be eaten raw. If you prefer, you could even cut off or leave the seared portion.
You should never eat any meat that has been ground; that is, hamburger and similar products, because the outside layer of meat containing bacteria has been mixed into the middle of the meat during processing. This needs to be cooked thoroughly at high temperature to avoid serious health risks.

Frankly, it's a little surpising that you're still alive. Pork needs to be completely cooked or you risk getting some serious conditions. This *may* be a reason why certain foods are banned in certain religions (just my personal theory).
When the holy texts (all and any of them) were written, people knew that certain things were bad for you based on observing empiral evidence BUT they didn't know why - easiest thing to do is say: God says don't eat that stuff - an appropriate solution at that time.

The Chinese eat raw pork. Yet to play it safe, pork should be cooked to a 135 degrees to avoid getting trigonosist. The way they keep pig farms today, chances are your won't get sick by eating raw pork, yet there is always the possibility you could get really sick or even die.
