national grid shut power off due to non payment and i have 1 1/2 yr old child in the home they want 1 thsd?

I just got a new job after being w/out one for 4 months how can i get this problem taken care of

Once they cut it off there is nothing that you can do but pay the bill and reconnection fee in order to have your power restored. I went through this a little over a year ago but I was able to get the problem taken care of quickly. I had to borrow the money from someone in order to have it paid in full.

i have been there. the gas company came to my door on a saturday & shut off my gas. this was after i had set up a payment plan with the gas company, & had hand delivered the payment to them for 25% of there 760.00 balance. when i called the gas company to complain, there response was > we cant send anybody out there till monday". damned if they couldnt send somebody out there on saturday to shut it off. my daughter was 6 months old at the time. she is now 28 years old, &b i still have a bad taste aboutn that.

Without knowing all of your situation, where you live, how long you've lived there. About the only thing left for you is contacting the agency's in your area who help people in your situation,the Salvation Army, church organizations, Family Independent Agency,(state run welfare department). The fact that there is a child involved should work in your favor. You'll probably find these places in your local phone book. GOOD LUCK!!......LATER...
