The size of their eyes should grow. After a baby is born, he/she is not used to so much light, so their eyes are not wide opened. It is also because babies tend to feel sleepy since they are used to sleeping inside the stomach. Give your baby some time to grow.

They are full size at birth, it's natures way of ensuring that you get loads of attention...........very few people can ignore the alluring eyes of a baby and will give in to endless hours of cradling and comforting, which is just what the baby needs. In this instance nature equals nurture!!! Good question

The average newborn’s eyeball is about 18 millimeters in diameter, from front to back (axial length); it grows slightly to a length of approximately 19½ millimeters as an infant; and it continues to grow gradually to a length of about 24-25 millimeters, or about 1 inch, in adulthood. (A ping-pong ball is about 1½ inch in diameter, which makes the average adult eyeball about 2/3 the size of a ping-pong ball.)
