I lost weight a while ago, and I'm having trouble parting with some of my old clothes that are too big now. I tried washing them a few times in a row to make them shrink, but it didn't do much. Is there anything I can do to shrink my clothes a size or two?

No there's really nothing you can do, most clothes come pre-shrunk which means they shrink the material before making the clothing. Did you try soaking them in hot water then drying, might help some. Good Luck!

You could try taking them to a tailor. They would fit you just the way you wanted if you did that. I was chubby right before I became a teenager so I wore a lot of adult clothes that were really nice. As soon as I turned about 14 I quickly turned into a little rail and all my nice clothes were huge, so I altered them myself. I still wear them now. If you can't alter your clothes yourself, just take them to a tailor.

Usually wash in hot water and then dry in a hot dryer.

Good on you for loosing weight!

1. You can have them tailored to your size

2. You can wash in hot water, and dry in hot heat

3. Or give them to someone that wears the size you used to be for inspiration.

it could be costly but take them to a tailor or alteration shop and get them fitted. or save them in case your weight changes.
