i have purchased 3 hp pcs in the last 5 years none have come with a cd,, im told that all pcs come them,,i am glas to see im not the only on to have had this problem,i did a destructive recovery on my desk top but cant find it on my laptop

Use MS recovery console
HP laptops are rubbish, I have had some in the past that I have lost a lot of data in after crashing windows.
Now I use Dell and I am a lot happier.

If your computer is a dell, then wait till the blue bar at the top of the screen appears, then press: Ctrl+F11. The blue bar wll say "www.dell.com"

you need to look again. my laptop came with a windows xp cd and an applications cd. use those. the cd key for windows xp should be on the bottom of your laptop
