I have a 2 yr old and a 5 month old. So when I read to the 2 year old the baby gets to listen too. We also go for stroller rides and sing songs. We sometimes go outside and just sit around in the backyard. Being together is very important.

Babies this age are gaining perfect vision for the first time. They love to look at things. Get her some brightly colored high contrast board books and help her turn the pages. You can also make your own by cutting pictures out of magazines and glueing them to paper. Put these is page protectors in a binder to slobber proof them. Plus the classics always work. This little piggy, peek a boo, pat a cake, they are all great. Have fun!!!!!

I would go to the grocery store with my son he like the lights and the sounds. It was winter when my son was this age so I was not able to do much with him since it had been raining. i usually did what you are doing, there really isnt much at this age that you can do. fresh air is always a good idea we would go on walks when it want raining, if you dont work I know that you could do playdates with a firend or go online and find a mommy group near you. also your local gym may have mommy and me classes. I know at my local mall they have a mommy group that walks around the mall with their strollers to get out of the house and exercise with their babies and the babies get the stimulation of other babies around them.

My son is seven months now, but at that age we:
Went on walks
Played at the park
Talked to each other
We sang a lot and danced
Listened to music
He played in his exersaucer
He tried to crawl
That's what I forgot to add-I read at night.
So basically everything you are doing. Even now, we don't do much else--except now he can crawl and I say "be careful" about 100 times a day--haha!

Now is the time to start reading to her - it doesn't have to be baby books just anything with pictures so that she has something to look at while you read!@

what you should do is take her exploring and maybe take her to the zoo. If she likes animals.
