Plaque....make sure you floss everytime you brush your teeth. Also brush your tongue and rinse with a good mouth wash to help cut down on the plaque and other stuff that you missed when brushing. This will help reduce the smell to barely noticable, but there will always be some smell

That is due to the fact that bacteria lives on the surface of your tongues.
To rid your self of this bacteria and have a clean breath you must clean the tongue. There are tongue cleaning instruments out there, but you can easily just take your tooth brush and gently run it over the surface a few times with tooth paste.

Make sure you brush your teeth and tongue well. Try using mouthwash also. If that doesnt help, you might need to use a tongue scraper. You can usually find them at most stores in the toothbrush aisle. I have heard of a brand BREATH-RX that helps with this.

If your breath still stinks after brushing your teeth you might have a gum disease like gingivitis

Two possibilities I had to fight were gum disease and digestive problems.
If your gums are infected, see a dentist ASAP.
For stomachal thingys try a spoonful of vinegar (get a tasty red wine variety) after each meal. Good for other things too.....
