I support gay marriage since it doesn't involve me and Im okay with abortions but only to be associated with grave medical situations, I believe that the information we went into Iraq with wasn't enough to bring upon action;yet, we can't back out until we have victory. I want more domestic policies and such things as welfare having stricter regulations. I believe that a wall isn't the answer to our problems when concerned with immigration, and continuing presidential administrations as well as Congress should focus more on foreign policy as well as domestic policy. Our currency should be backed by gold again, corruption shouldn't be tolerated in the government, and we should be stricter and harsher to Iraq's terrorist cells rather than the civilians.

You can go either way with the subjects you have mentioned. There is a lot of literature out there on what each party stands for, Democrats are more for taxes and the government being the watch dog for business, also more socalized policies. Republicans are for businesses watching over themselves, less taxes and people being responsable for themselves. Neither party should have any say about religion, marriage and what people do in their own bedroom, but for some reason it has come to that. I would say get some literature on all of the major parties, including the independant and gree parties to make your decision.
For me I am a non partisan, not a part of any party, but I vote for more democrats than republicans.

My guess is that you're a moderate Democrat such as-
Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana
Former Governor of Virginia Mark Warner
4-star General Wesley Clark of Arkansas
Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico
Governor of Montana Brian Schweitzer
(etc.)

i think maximum of your perspectives are in step with the Democratic social gathering. I evaluate myself a Democrat, yet i do no longer believe each and each difficulty of the democratic platform..case in point I;m a expert-lifer, I strongly disapprove of abortion different than the place the mum life is at risk. I strongly disagree with making comparable intercourse marriage criminal..yet it incredibly is barely 2 subjects. On approximately all different subjects i'm in contract with the Democratic platform...

I'm sorry, but saying that "gay marriage doesn't involve you" is like an unknowledgable renter saying that property taxes do not effect him. What he doesn't understand is that when his landlord's taxes go up, his rent will go up, as well.
By the same token, gay marriage will harm all of America and our country will cease to exist as the sane and civil place that we know and love. 14 out 15 states in recent elections understood this, and JUST SAID NO to in-their-face ridiculous special rights.
Please reconsider. I think you'd otherwise make a fine Republican, but we all need to be united against this, with all due respect.
1 MAN + 1 WOMAN = MARRIAGE!

You sound more indepent then anything else to me.. But the closest one of the two is democrat.
More of a repubocrat would be the correct term I think. That is closer to what I feel I am.. Nether party is any good but if you could pick the parts of each that would be great..

Interesting. The reason I'm a republican is I though they would be for smaller gov. appoint smart people to leadership positions, show a little (just a little) smarts on the budget. I've been wrong, wrong wrong. My suggestion is to vote for the person you think is the best person running. You have to define best as it will be different for ever one. Why is the party you call your self of any importance, other than the primaries.

Very simple, we used to say..
in college if you weren't a Democrat, you had no heart.
and in the working world, if you weren't a Republican, you had no brains.
I think you should vote Democrat and give all you money to ghetto children, and illegal aliens in your hospitals.
It is commonly accepted that the Demos dismanted the CIA that is probably keeping you safe today.
and I am going to vote Demo because I really like Turbins, Prayer Rugs, and btw. which way is Mecca?

Well, if you believe in personal responsibility, lower taxes, few government programs and severe penalties for breaking the law then you are probably a Republican.
If you believe the government should run a large portion of your life, the successful (wealthy) should be taxed to pay for it all, and go easy on criminals since the "system" let them down then you are probably a Democrat.
You can also be a "moderate" leaning mostly one way more than the other.

i think that every one should have there own mind and own thoughts !
now if you decided to be a republican and your union had decided something you don't approve of you are gonna accept it just coz your a republican no matter what you think !!!!!! and if you are going to be a democrat is it the same !!!!!!
well as for me i don't think so i think that you should have your own thoughts your own ideas and forget about democrat republican thing in the end we are all ppl and it goes no where ! !
i believe that you shouldn't think about it but its still up to you
wishing you luck deciding what your gonna be :)

do not decide. the two names do imply different platforms, but they also encourage complacence.
look at each candidate's merits and decide that way. i wish i could feel alright simplifying it to product a vs. product b, but it's a big country and the parties are very broad because of all the individual permutations of "democrat" and "republican"
so, each year try to decide what you should focus on and pick the least abhorrent politician you can. anything else encourages you to throw your vote at one of the two leviathans dragging down our nation.
