When looking, what do you base your decision on?

When you're young, you go by looks almost exclusively. As you get older, you realize there are other forms of beauty other than physical. The bottom line is personality outlasts everything. So if you find someone with a great personality and so-so looks, those relationships will last longer than physical beauty that deteriorates with age.

If you are "looking" then first off you will make your judgment on how a person looks. Looks are fairly important because you will want to be able to stomach looking at your spouse for the rest of your lives. Secondly personality is important and must override looks if you are to have happiness. But noodle this... you don't always find love, sometimes it finds you. If it does find you looks are irrelevant because that persons personality has touched your heart. Yes your prefs change as you get older because you learn that looks aren't everything. In this world of boob jobs and tummy tucks its easy to find someone you want to look at everyday but is it the same person you want to grow old with everyday? and character, don't forget character.... its not the same as personality.

I was just reviewing my Q&A and discovered what catagory this question was in. That in turn makes for a diffrent answer. I personaly reccomend you not be looking. As I was saying at my close character is important. It is my opinion that anyone seeking a relationship of that grade has charater issues and shouldn't be in any relationship with a "significant other." I know this kills my chance at the best answer but I would rather not get the points rather than you thinking I support any such relationship.

I used to say I had no preference when it comes to what I like in women. Now I realize I have mostly taken up with a certain type of woman. Short, dark haired, independent (some would say, wierd) women. As for changing with age, the older you get the more women you can appreciate!!!!

Mostly by personality (I like a woman with strong sense of humor, wit, intelligence, and a good heart) but I also go for some physical features, although that can be "negotiable"...I tend to go for medium husky women that are not hairy.

It has to be the complete package. Personality 1st, Looks 2nd, and great in bed 3rd. Looks is also a sliding scale, so if a person has a great personality and is great in bed, looks are less important since you have the two key essentials, and as the song goes ..... two out of three ain't bad. It's rare to find all three of course so its a tall order, but I'm allowed to dream ..............

I personally go strictly by personality first and then looks. And I think your prefernces probably change as you age. I know mine certainly have.

I would have to say both. You can have a very beautiful person,but their personality may suck. But u can have an average person and have qood good personality. I have to have them both,but i don't care how beautiful you are-if your personality sucks-i wouldn't give you a moments thought!

I go by Movement, elegance and mannerism.... Then hair, eyes, slim, style......
There is nothing more amazing that a fem lesbian, who has spiky hair but is extremely fem and elegant...
