My uterus gets hard after an orgasim? And sometimes just for no reason, maybe once or twice a day and when I work out (just light excercise....bike and fast walk). I did tell my doc and he said just drink some water and relax...... if it's happening a lot in a day. This started around about 19wks or so, and I'm now 25wks. Does this mean I'll give birth early? This is my 1st pregnancy!!!!!!

What you are experiencing is called Braxton Hicks contractions I have them from about 16-20 weeks until I have the baby. Completely normal it is your body prepping for birth, no worries.
Drink lots of water, stay hydrated.
good luck and congrats.

I had the same thing happen. I think your uterus is contracting to protect the baby an stop labour starting early. Orgasmn hardening is similar to contractions, so your body recognises it as a sign for labour. In some people Brakston Hicks, the so called practice contractions do start this early in pregnancy. I think it's a good thing, it gets your muscles toned an ready for labour day. Do follow your docs advise though, get plenty of rest too!

Good luck for the big day!

They will get more frequent too as you get closer to your due date. It's ok. It is actually a very good thing and shows that your uterus is getting nice and toned for childbirth. Your uterus is a muscle so after an orgasm or forms of exercise it will tighten up. No you will most likely not give birth early. It happens to most women and it is always alittle scary when you feel it. Take care

It is getting hard because it is a contraction. It is not a labor contraction they are painful and regular. You will have a contraction after an orgasm, when you are far along it can be rather painful, me and my husband would have sex and one minute it would be great and then I would be laying on my side trying to recover from the contraction. Everything is fine! If you start having regular contractions (one every 10-15 minutes )drink plenty of water rest call your doc or get to the er because that could be labor.

Sound like you are having braxton- hicks, which are "practice" contractions. As long as you aren't feeling any pain with these, and the baby is still moving, there is nothing to worry about! Your body is just getting ready for the real deal when the time comes! Oh, and when baby has hiccups, it is a rhythm of movements. You'll know!

It's because it's sore....An orgasm is just a rythmatic contraction, and the contracting of any muscle can cause soreness.

no, my uterus would get hard to during or after sex. just make sure that you keep stimulation away from your nipples. this can cause your uterus to contract and upset your baby....
