Can you tell me a country that has just gone metric, and the problems they faced, and how they overcame the problems?
Thank you, I really appreciate it!

No country has just gone metric because everyother country besides the u.s. uses it, they might use some home measurements, the problems would be that you couldn't sell a pound of something for a certain price or how long you want something to be.

I don't know of recent places going to metric, but when Canada adopted the metric system in the 70's there was a lot of confusion at first. Speed limit signs indicated higher speeds, distance signs indicated longer travelling, weights and measurements were out of whack, etc. It was a long slow transition. Most things showed standard and metric in their products and services for years. Until the older generations passed on and the teachings of the younger generation took hold is when things got back into a normal routine again. Some people accepted the changes and others didn't. To this day you will still find people still using the standard system because they were caught at an age where they were being taught both. I would say that in about another 40 to 50 years, the last of the die hard standard users will be gone.

(scroll down to "Metrication status and history for" for information on individual countries' effort to adopt the metric system.)

Jamaica recently converted in 1998, but Canada (which made the conversion in the 1970s) may provide better information since it is a larger, more-comparable-to-the-U.S., country.
