actually its a really cool video, and a really cool thing its based on.. the thing is.. the guys from the group actually really share a liking for the movie 'the shining' so they did the video based on that, which i thought was really cool. [ and im not just guessing, i saw an interview with the band about this ]

and the song.. well its kind of a universal meaning.. like it can relate to a couple of different feelings.. or.. events that happen in your life.. to me its kind of like.. a guy whos just fed up with everything.. and hes in this relationship that is .. just breaking him apart.... and he is fed up with it...

thats what i think. =]

The movie that "The Kill" is based on by 30 Seconds to Mars is called "The Shining" it is by a novel by Stephen King. Cool book you should read it. It is a classic. The movie is amazing too. Especially the one with Jack Nicholson. Mostly a hooror/suspense movie and book. The song and video is amazing.

150,000% sure.

The concept is from The Shining, which is a Stanley Kubrick film from 1980. Stephen King wrote the novel and Kubrick rewrote it into fil. Stephen King didn't like The Shining so he wrote a mini-series for TV in 1997 which Mick Garris directed, called The Shining. excellent song. love the guitar and the lead singer knows how to use his voice.

Watch 'The Shining' with Jack Nicholson. you'll understand alot of the video when you see the movie =)
