I would put pressure on my gp - ask for a second opinion.
A friend who was private got terrible pain in his stomach, went to the doctor and expected to be told it was gallstones. They disagreed, put him through every test invented (I worked in a hospital and know how painful they are) and a year later, he ran out of his budget. He went to the NHS to be told it was gallstones. Operated immediately and he's now reasonably fine. Unfortunately the delay meant a few complications.
So remortgaging your house is a wonderful thing and I would do it if I was convinced it would help. However, I'm not convinced it would solve your problem.

On the NHS you can still get a second opinion - he needs to go back to his GP and point out his symptoms are ongoing.

The NHS is as good as private for emergency treatment; but their wait time is awful when compared to private for elective or non-urgent surgery. That's the time I would go private, if I need a hip replacement or something.

As a pediatric nurse who has assisted in over one thousand circumcisions maximum medical doctors go with one technique of circumcision and is generally the single they have been experienced to apply. In u . s . a . of america, Canada, and Australia the main uncomplicated procedures used to circumcise are the Gomco Clamp, The Plastibell, and the classic Jewish Mogen Clamp. Out of those 3 procedures, the Gomco Clamp gets rid of the main volume of foreskin simply by fact the device is designed to allow the operator to go with how little or how lots pores and skin to eliminate. In my wellness center we use the Gomco Clamp completely because it produced an extremely clean and tidy result with an extremely symmetrical scar line around the shaft of the penis and helps a miles better component to delicate inner foreskin to stay on the shaft between the top of the penis and the scar line. (this promises the penis that common 2 coloration tone look) in maximum boys the place the shaft could have a delicate distinction in tone above and under the scar line. Now the extra pores and skin it is bumped off the farther down the shaft the scar line would be. many mum and dad that have there boys circumcised at my wellness center request that we eliminate the utmost volume of foreskin from there son as they like there son to have a very circumcised visual charm. If a confirm would not make a particular request earlier the circumcision I be sure that the utmost volume is bumped off because it is likewise my own selection in how a circumcised penis could desire to look.

I dont think private hospitalisation can do any better than NHS. My brother went private with BUPA. Each operation he had went wrong and he landed up in NHS who had to clear up the mess. The first time around they damaged his eye duct...the second time around they damaged his heart badly...the third time around something went wrong with a prostrate operation and he died within two weeks of that!!!! the answer really is is to find a really good doctor and insist that NHS send you to him. We all grumble about NHS but really they are the people that sort out the mess once it is made.

Nope dont get yourself into debt - pressure your GP as much as you can so they can help get him the treatment he needs now, I contemplated private a few years ago as I was in so much pain and couldnt take it anymore - one night I ended up being rushed to hospital but again they just checked me over gave me painkillers and sent me home - but the next day my doc realised how bad things had got and I had my operation within two weeks - you need to push them as much as you can and good luck xx

after working in both sectors, i would say that the speed of care with private health care is far better, giving peace of mind but as for the nurses they are both excellent what ever you choose. possibly more motivated in the private sector as money is a driving force for us all. good luck in what ever you choose.
