2. either front wheels are powered. Or rear wheels.depending in the car. There are a few cars out there that are all wheel drive. This is slightly different from 4 wheel drive because all the axles are limited slip as opposed to 4x4 where the axles are locked. Want to know what a limited slip means? Two wheels (more front or rear wheel drive cars,- than 4 wheel drive cars.) Did you know that maintainance is more costly on 4wd than two? Parts are more expensive, labor is more expensive, and vehicle is more expensive at purchase too!
